  • 1 beef stock cube (for 0.5 l) crumbled
    or 1 heaped tsp beef stock paste, homemade
  • 760 g water
  • 1 Tbsp dried marjoram
  • 2 Tbsp sweet paprika
  • 1 tsp hot paprika
  • ½ tsp caraway seeds
  • 1 dried bay leaf
  • Tabasco® sauce to taste
  • 1 tsp fine sea salt
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • 30 g plain flour
  • 200 g red peppers sliced (1 cm)
  • 200 g green peppers sliced (1 cm)
  • crusty bread for serving
  • fresh oregano for garnishing (optional)
