  • 500 g baker's flour, plus extra to dust

  • 1 tsp sea salt

  • 1 tsp ground cardamom (optional)
  • 1 tsp ground cloves (optional)
  • 150 g unsalted butter, softened and cut into pieces

  • 120 g caster sugar
  • 60 g unsalted butter, softened, plus extra to grease
  • 60 g cream cheese, softened
  • ½ tsp natural vanilla extract (optional)
  • 20 g milk
  • 1 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice (optional)
  • baker's flour, to dust
